An ideo was raised of having a ?Feature? presentation on the website. The feature would be regl;arly updated every month so that visitors where guaranteed that atleast the one item would be new.

What this ?feature? could be is up for discussion, and how it could be presented on the site.

?Who We Are?

the ?Who We Are Page?? do we list all names of people who contribute material? or do we just keep it general about who we are as a group?


?Film Hub?

Zoe who has been involved with IFIwatchnet, (http://www.ifiwatchnet.org/about/index.shtml) has suggested we do something similar with the FAW site, in creating a one-stop-shop for finding anti-war, peace films on the internet, so instead of us hosting the material, we simple link to them, thus creating a ?Hub? for finding material.

Although there is no imediate plan for implementing this, it might be worth bearing in mind for the future. Maybe for the time being we can encourage the Forum to be used as a place to post links to other material.


PROJECTS

?Iraq Occupation Focus Teach In?

This was filmed on the 5th December, we have several hours of footage ranging from vox pop?s, interviews with speakers, and recordings of debates.

Euan has volunteered to edit this down to 15-20 mins in the new year, but it may also be worth creating a page all for itself, so that many of the debates can be up on the site for people to watch in there entirety.


?Proxmire Act?

Robin and Errol are working on a short animation about the Proxmire Act, a film that will highlight one mans determination to pass the one act in america that may alowe american people to impeach Bush.


?Vigil Animation?

Robin has been working on a film about the recent vigil held outside the bbc in response to the lack of information on the war crimes we have been comitting upon the people of Fallujah.


?Tax Strike?

Chris has asked for a short film to be made that could be used by the STWC to raise awareness of a Tax Strike.

Under the ICC anyone who funds Genocide, Crimes Against Humanity, or War Crimes is liable for prosecution. That could mean us as taxpayers, as our tax is being used to commit all of the crimes above by Blair and the British Government, are comitting offences.

This film could highlight the way our tax is used, and encourage people to do something poistive, and to show them how.

We have letters that Chris has written which should also go onto the site for people to download, at present they can be downloaded at http://www.actionagainstwar.org/.

Marco offered to write a script for this.

?Action Round-up? - ?Time Bomb?

An idea for a video that could do brief reports on actions that are taking place with interviews of activists involved, ie Chris with the Tax Strike, Impeach Blair with Adam Price, Private Criminal Prosecutions against Blair, Peace and Progress with Vanessa Redgrave, Politicians Peace Pledge, etc.


?voting & democracy in the UK?

film idea that will coincide with the election in May 2005. It incorporates the idea of MP's accountability, voting & democracy in the UK and the lack of it in Iraq. It is a great idea and could be very powerful and even be effective to practical change !! The election gives a very good focus for this powerful project


OUTREACH & SCREENINGS

We had a very successful screening at The Other Cinema recently, and would like to organise more in the new year. One ide has been to approach schools, colleges, universitys to ask them if we could put on screenings. This could help promote FAW, and also attract more members, volunteers.

We need to send films to festivals world-wide, a list of festivals should be compiled.

We should also include on all our items how long each film is, and/or the size of the file.

We need people to help with digitizing/mpeging material for the site.
